Lord Mountbatten’s diaries for 1943, 1947 and 1948, and Lady Mountbatten’s diaries for 1947 and 1948 (when she was Vicereine of India), still remain mysteriously withheld from the public, as do Nehru and Edwina’s letters to each other and the Mountbatten correspondence.
